Homedale Senior Center partners with Savers for fundraising. We are looking to raise 500 lbs. by the end of Dec. What this means is what you donate to us and what we do not us in our Thrift Store we bag and box and send to Savers when we have 500 or more lbs.

Savers then weighs and pays us so much a lb. for clothing, bedding, books, misc. etc. This also helps the center. So, if you plan on donating, why not donate to us and help the Center out. We are open 8- 1pm and we can also pick-up. The phone number is 1-208-337-3020.

NOVEMBER EVENTS

November, a time for thankfulness. Watching family and friends last weekend at our state playoff football game, I can’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of pride and fellowship. Generations of alumni, players, and coaches past and present coming together to support our Trojans. I am so very thankful for the amazing community we have in the city of Homedale.

With the holidays looming take time to take a breath and appreciate what is around you for there is always something to be thankful for.   (Photo Credit: Stacey Bittick)

► Do some Christmas shopping at the Homedale Farmers’ Holiday Markets in November and December <see dates and details below>

► Open enrolllment for Health Insurance begins November 1st

Picture

Open enrollment is the term used for the time of year when all Idaho residents can shop for and change any insurance policies they have.  It is also a good time for those who don’t have insurance to become insured.

Each year insurance companies change some policies and the monthly premium amount for those policies.

Open Enrollment starts on November 1st and goes through December 15th in 2017 and this is the time to meet with a knowledgeable Health Insurance Agent to go over what will be available for 2018.

Our agents are highly trained and can help you navigate through the confusing insurance market.  It does not cost you anything to consult with an insurance agent.  Insurers of Idaho can also help you apply with the Idaho Deparment of Health and Welfare for something called an Advanced Premium Tax Credit (APTC).  You may qualify for this based on household income.  It is then used to lower your monthly premium with the insurance carriers.

Contact us today to see how we can help!
